As part of the Festival’s “Big Weekend” Saturday June 27th is a sure way to put a smile on your little one’s face. We have an action packed day full of events and activities to keep all ages amused.
Throughout the day there will be a full programme of live music and entertainment on our main stage and in the marquees there will be stalls with a range of work from local designer-makers for sale at affordable price and a choice of refreshments to buy from local suppliers. Or there’s even time to pop into historic Market Bosworth and look around the shops and cafés and come back as admission is free!
Have a go at some circus skills with Helter Skelter or make your own Ukulele and jam out! Buy a cool drink or an ice cream and listen to a story told by our wonderful Story Tellers Pyn and Ann. Be amazed by the tricks from Magic Ian and wowed by International Balloon twister of the year, Smudgy!
You can listen to one of the many talented live musical acts including Forever Steel Band 'Bringing Caribbean sunshine to your event’ (fingers crossed) and also playing reggae and carnival classics, pictured right and HD Brass Quartet. There will be performances by local school choirs and dancers plus the opportunity to try a dance routine yourself.
The Harding-Davis Brass Ensemble is a very family affair consisting of married couple Ali and Pete, their daughter Abi and her partner Matt. They play regularly together in The Wigston Brass Band but decided to take the family quartet out and do something a little different too. They enjoy playing at a range of venues within Leicestershire including their annual festive performances at St Primary Academy in Market Bosworth. As well as Christmas carols, their repertoire consists of a huge range of upbeat music from films to pop and anything else you can think of! We hope you will enjoy their exciting programme today!
There’s something for everyone!
