Meet Sue Wilkins and Bobby Dog.

Readings will be hourly from 11am - 2pm.

Talks last approximately 15 minutes.

Meet local children’s author Sue Wilkins who will introduce her latest character Bobby Dog and read extracts from the book.

A free event.

All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Readings start at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm and run for approximately 15 minutes.

Suitable for all ages but the presentation is aimed at the target readers ie under 8s and so will be entertaining and suitable for a young audience.

Bobby Dog is the sixth book by Derbyshire author Sue Wilkins illustrated by Liz Furness.

Launched at Calke Abbey in July 2022 it has proved a huge success for young readers.

Previous works include Fearless Flynn, Milly, Molly and Maisy and Alfie’s Story.

“Bobby Dog” is based on the scrapes and adventures of a real dog.  There is a character soft toy to go with the story together with an adoption certificate for the new young owner.
